Do I need to provide my passport in the Biometric appointment?

Hi,

I have applied British Citizenship after I have the ILR for 12 months (Via Tier 2 work visa). I have uploaded all required doc online and due to the biometric appointment. Would like to know whether they will collect my passport during the appointment or in the whole application?

I found in the guideline said "Travel after submitting an application. After submitting your registration application, you are free to travel whilst you are waiting for a decision using your valid passport and evidence of your valid ILR, or other valid status. You do not need to tell us about your travel plans."

Assuming they would not collect my passport but just checking as I have planned trips to go in coming months. Thank you!

They won't retain your passport - they'll check it to confirm identity and return it to you at the appointment.
