Evidence upload

Post by Needhelp7 » Tue Mar 19, 2024 9:05 pm

Hi all,

I have a few questions about the other supporting evidence we should upload to UKVCAS before our biometrics appointment. I am a non-EU applicant, and I have settled status through my EU citizen wife.

Is it better to upload any evidence about the mortgage house my wife and I own?

We also have a 2-year-old daughter born in the UK. Am I supposed to upload any information about her, such as her birth certificate? She is already a British citizen, and I don't know if it is really needed or not.

Finally, they asked me to upload my Turkish passport. My current passport covers the trips I did over the last 10 years. However, am I supposed to upload my expired Turkish passports as well?

I don't want to upload unnecessary documents as it may confuse them. If you have any advice about these points, that would be great.

Hi all,

I have a few questions about the other supporting evidence we should upload to UKVCAS before our biometrics appointment. I am a non-EU applicant, and I have settled status through my EU citizen wife.

Is it better to upload any evidence about the mortgage house my wife and I own? not required - why do you think this is required?

We also have a 2-year-old daughter born in the UK. Am I supposed to upload any information about her, such as her birth certificate? She is already a British citizen, and I don't know if it is really needed or not. Not required.

Finally, they asked me to upload my Turkish passport. My current passport covers the trips I did over the last 10 years. However, am I supposed to upload my expired Turkish passports as well? Only the passport covering the residency period - no more.

I don't want to upload unnecessary documents as it may confuse them Caseworkers know what they are looking at and for. Good point - there's often an assumption that tons of documents are required.. If you have any advice about these points, that would be great.

I don't think any of these are required.

I was thinking showing ownership of a flat may help with the good charachter requirement and prove intention to stay. Also, it means I was here over that period.

Birth certificate shows familiy ties.

As mentioend, I would rather not upload any of these documents. I am not quite sure what other supporting documents people are usually upload that is why I am asking it.

You would only need to upload extra things if you wanted to prove your links to the UK in case you had too many absences. If this is not the case no need to upload the items you have listed except for current passport that covers the qualifying period.
