Hi I’ve got my naturalisation this year but got married in 2021. In the ceremony I just used my old passport but now for application with British passport want to use my married name. I’m confused with requirements on my passport application was asking me.
When do you want the new passport in your new name
After ceremony
Before ceremony
?does it mean the oath taking? I’ve done my oath taking in feb so should I just submit the requirements under after ceremony?
I am also applying passport at the same time with my youngest child can i submit our documents in one envelope? Because she also needs my naturalisation certificate but I only have only one original.
My worry as well is I’m applying for my eldest for citizenship if she needed my naturalisation certificate or my passport how long does the passport department return my original documents?
Thanks in advance

There's multiple possible addresses for documents to be sent in the UK; if you and your child will have a different address for documents, that might be an issue.

I would select after. You will need to submit proof you changed your name such as deed poll.

Yes, if you are told to send your documents to the same office. Some members do it but I don't know if it is possible to send the application to a different office than it has been allocated to. If that is the case you can send all docs in the same envelope and write on it both reference numbers. Either way I would advise making a copy of the certificate and keep it just in case it gets lost/damaged.

Won't be a problem, you will upload a digital version of all paperwork and your citizenship certificate won't impact your daughter unless she was born after you gained citizenship. Passports take 3 weeks to be processed according to current standard processing times, children's first passports can be expedited but adult ones can't. After the passport is printed original documents get sent back.
Thanks in advance
