Delay In Licence And Visa Expiring

Post by david1955 » Thu Jul 30, 2009 10:24 am

Hi Everyone, I hope anyone can help me with this.
I have been working in a company for 2 years. I was on post study work visa. My visa is expiring in sept next month. My company needs me so they agreed to sponsor me.
My company has hired a solicitor for getting me the work permit. But its taking to long to get even the company licence. and i am not hoping that my company would be able to get the licence until my visa expires.
My only question is , is there any transitional arrangement to get a 2 month extension on my visa , so that my company licence can be sorted out and then i can send my passport to get work permit visa stamped. I heart about discreationary leave, but i dont know what is it exactly all about.
I will be very thankful if anyone can help me in this matter. Thanks

Yes, the Tier2 Sponser license n other process wil take long time..

the best thing that you can do to survive in this country is IF you are eligable and qualify for the Tier1(G) visa than give it a go and u will be safe in the country to work.. even if ur company goes bust.. u can work for ther company n not go home.. have think abt it..

for more details of Tier1(G) visa u know where to peep in..

But i dont qualify for TIER 1 (G) , as i did bachelors degree, and now the rules for TIER(G) has been shifted to masters degree.
Isnt there any alternative? I have been advised by someone that u can submit ur TIER 2 application and request the homeoffice to hold on ur application , till ur company licence gets routed out. Is that possible?
