Eligibility and Documentation for ILR Submission - SET(O)

Post by aczd157 » Thu Nov 14, 2024 11:52 am

Hello,

I’m seeking advice on my ILR application to ensure I’m fully prepared and meeting all the necessary criteria. I arrived in the UK on a Tier 4 visa (14 September 2018) and later switched to a Tier 2 General visa. My BRP and Home Office approval email both indicate my Tier 2 General visa started on 31 December 2019. I then switched to a Skilled Worker visa on 27 May 2021 (Employment change).

I plan to submit my ILR application tomorrow, hoping to get a biometrics appointment scheduled on or after 4 December 2024 to meet the qualifying period requirements (5 years - 28 days). For supporting documentation, I’ve gathered:

Sponsor letter confirming employment requirements
3 months’ payslips and corresponding bank statements
Signed consent form (part 1 only)
All previous BRPs and my passport
Cover letter

Does this documentation cover the essentials, or is there anything additional I should include to strengthen my application? Any advice on timing or required documents would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your help!

In addition, I was furloughed for four weeks from 01 April 2020 to 30 April 2020. Does this count towards ILR continuous period calculation?

The documents look good but you also need the LIUK test. Note there is no requirement to prove English language under your route. Furlough period has no effect on your ILR

Thanks Zimba! Yeah, I've already cleared the LIUK test. Your post on maximizing the 'date of decision' for ILR is extremely helpful, and I'm taking a shot at it.
