Emergency Travel needed during the visa processing

Post by ramsankarr » Sun Jun 16, 2024 11:09 pm

Hello,

I'd submitted my Global mobility visa for extension under standard category and given my biometrics on 08-Jun-24 for me and my family. I'm awaiting an update for the decision. My mother-in-law passed away today and i'm looking for options to travel outside the country to attend funeral and rituals. My current UK BRP is valid till Aug'24. Could someone advise on the below points or any other options to enable me and family to travel outside in this situation?

- Is it possible to change my visa application to super priority to get a decision in 24 Hrs? As I've already gone for Biometrics not sure if its still possible and If so, how to do it?
- Is there any other option available to expedite my current application by requesting the Home office for such emergency situations?
- Is there an option to request UK Home office to pause my current application to let me travel outside and come back on my existing BRP?
- If my current UK visa application is withdrawn, would I be still able to return to the UK using my existing BRP and would I still be able to apply a new application?
- Any other options avaialble?

Thank You !

- Is there an option to request UK Home office to pause my current application to let me travel outside and come back on my existing BRP? No
- If my current UK visa application is withdrawn, would I be still able to return to the UK using my existing BRP and would I still be able to apply a new application? Yes if you withdraw application and make the journey within the validity period of existing leave.
- Any other options avaialble?

Thank You !

Ok thanks. If my application is withdrawn what are the consequences whilst filling the future applications? When I fill the new applications every time would i have to call out this instance in the section where refusal/rejection visas in the past is asked for?

Withdrawal is NOT refusal or rejection !
