EU mother visiting British adult daughter

Hi there,

I’m a British national planning for my mother to visit me in the UK. She is an Italian national and holds an EU passport. My mother is in her mid-60s and currently retired. I’d like her to stay for six months or a slightly shorter period, within the permitted visitor stay for EU citizens. During her visit, we’re planning a few trips, so she will be traveling in and out of the UK during this time.

If anyone has similar experiences or advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

If my mother stays for six months, when would she be allowed to return for a new visit? Does she need to wait a specific period (e.g., 3, 6, or 12 months) before re-entering the UK?
