Moving from the UK to the US

Post by Tidus » Sat Feb 14, 2009 11:47 pm

Hi guy's, thanks for reading. If anybody has any information regarding this subject, id be extremely grateful.

Ok so,

My fiancee lives in the United States, I myself live in the United Kingdom. Im due to finish University in this coming June 2009. The aim is for myself to marry my fiancee, and live and work in the US. I know of the required procedures, however it seems to be a minefield. A job offer is obviously beneficial. However a green card, or work permit is required to apply for the jobs, while a job is needed to get a Green Card. It seems an impossibility to achieve what im aiming for right now.

If anybody has some serious comments to make, id be extremely grateful.

This should be moved to the US immigration section..

You should apply for a fiance visa for the marriage, and then you can convert it to a residence permit for the US.. That would allow you to work without sponsorship.
