Visit visa application questions on Income and expenditure

Post by dhruv4500 » Fri Aug 26, 2022 10:47 am

Hi All,
Five years back, I applied for Visit Visa for my mum, which was rejected for the below reason.

Rejection reason:
"On your visa application form, you stated that you are unemployed with no income stated. You say that the cost to you personally of your trip is £3000. You state that the total amount you
spend each month is £50. You have submitted a copy of a State Bank of India bank account showing a balance of INR118444 (£1437). Therefore, the balance is less than you state you have available."

--We have clearly stated that we will sponsor her accommodation and cover all her expenses.--
We are not entirely aware of the immigration rules back then, and we haven't provided any proof of source of income or property documents.

Current Situation:
My brother and I live here. Unfortunately, my father recently expired a year back.
So while filling out the application, I have to mention my mum as a Widower, and now my brother is here for his Masters's Degree. So does our current situation make application rejection chances more?

Given that I sponsor her trip and living expenses completely, Can you please help me fill the below questions:
--- START ---
What is your employment status?: Unemployed
Do you have another income or any savings? : Other regular income, Savings
What kind of regular income do you have? : Allowance or regular money from your family, Investments, Another income
The total amount of money that you get in a year: 220000.00 INR
How much money do you have in savings (in GBP)?: 1000.00 GBP
How much money are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the UK? : 300.00 GBP
What is the total amount of money you spend each month?: 50.00 GBP
Will anyone be paying for the cost of your visit?: Yes
Who is paying for the cost of your visit?: Someone I know (for example, family or friend)
How much money will they be paying towards your visit? :2000.00 GBP
Why are they helping to pay for your visit? :
My Daughter and Son-in-law are interested in Full Sponsoring for the Tour - Including Expenses Involved in Flight Tickets, Stay, Living and all other Expenses. However, I have all the financial capabilities to take care of any expenses.
---- END ---

I am unsure how they calculate the money she spends and the amount she has in her balance. However, we have answered the questions similar to the above in our previous application (which got rejected then).

We have no where mentioned that the cost for her trip personally is £3000 in our previous rejected application.

We will show a balance of approximately 3,50,000 INR in her account for her current application.
And we are also planning to submit the property documents that are on her name.

Could someone please review the above and suggest what other proofs we can provide for a successful outcome?

Thanks

So while filling out the application, I have to mention my mum as a Widower, and now my brother is here for his Masters's Degree. So does our current situation make application rejection chances more?It depends on your earnings. Your brother is a student, so not expected to be earning enough to sustain anyone else.

How much money do you have in savings (in GBP)?: 1000.00 GBP
How much money are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the UK? : 300.00 GBPThis is 6x her monthly expenditure, it doesn't look good. Change it to £100 max.
What is the total amount of money you spend each month?: 50.00 GBP
Will anyone be paying for the cost of your visit?: Yes
Who is paying for the cost of your visit?: Someone I know (for example, family or friend)
How much money will they be paying towards your visit? :2000.00 GBPHow's this possible? Stick with the flight ticket cost only! Feeding comes naturally. Why would she want to go back?

Most people make the mistake of calling some crazily high amount in their spending money and expect that it would help with the visa application.

Also, cut her trip to 10 days max.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

Hi, thanks for your reply i will try to make the changes as suggested.

So does our current situation make application rejection chances more? It depends on your earnings. Your brother is a student, so not expected to be earning enough to sustain anyone else.
--I work full time and have a regular income--

The total amount of money that you get in a year: 220000.00 INR (£??)
--Approx £2200 a year--

How much money will they be paying for your visit? :2000.00 GBP How's this possible? Stick with the flight ticket cost only! Feeding comes naturally. Why would she want to go back?
--I have mentioned £2000 considering the flight tickets, stay and other regular expenses.
Afraid that if I mention a lesser amount, they might expect more balances in her account.--

What is the total amount of money you spend each month?: 50.00 GBP
How much money are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the UK? : 300.00 GBPThis is 6x her monthly expenditure; it doesn't look good. Change it to £100 max.
--Have answered £300 to this question, which is 6X50£ considering the question-(What is the total amount of money you spend each month?:)--

Thanks

--I work full time and have a regular income--You're not the applicant, you're just the support act. What you do or don not do doesn't carry too much weight. The onus is on the applicant to prove that they have a good reason to go back to home country.

The total amount of money that you get in a year: 220000.00 INR (£??)

--Have answered £300 to this question, which is 6X50£ considering the question-(What is the total amount of money you spend each month?:)-- Regardless of the fact that 6 months stay is allowed, it raises red flags for 1st time applications. That means you've nothing else doing back home.

Thanks
