Home Insulation grant

Post by Bell94 » Sat Jul 01, 2023 8:04 pm

Hello,
I am on a leave to remain spouse visa and my wife is a British citizen. We have bought a new house which is under both of our names. The house has EPC rating E I believe and does not have insulation. Also, the house does not have proper heating system. I wanted to ask could we apply for a grant. I have checked the income requirements but one thing which I am confuse about is that on my BRP it is stated 'no public funds'. If my wife apply for government insulation grant would this be fine or should we refrain from applying for a grant as it is classed as public fund?
Thank you for reading.
Kind regards.

The Great British Insulation scheme isn’t a public fund, whether you’re eligible will depend on your household circumstances.
