Applying for family rout (spouse)

Post by BlossomAyesha » Tue Apr 02, 2024 1:38 pm

Dear All,
I am a non Uk citizen currently on Graduate rout visa.
My husband got his naturalisation certificate on 15 Nov 2022.

When we get into relationship in 2021, he was still married to his ex-wife but they were living at same property as a separated couple.

They started divorce process and final order granted 08 nov 2022.

We mostly then lived at same address from 2022, but he did not change his address details, apart of GP or driving licence. (Banks were paperless)

We properly moved together on our current address on 16 jan 2023. And we have joint utility bills in our names since then.

We got married on 28 March 2024.

My visa is expiring on 01 june 2024.

I am filling out BRC application as a british spouse.
In the application they asked us 2 years of proof of relationship.

According to my situation we are in relationship for about 4 years.

But we have complete joint accounts only from Jan 2024 (15 months instead of 24).

Can someone help me here, is it mandatory for british married spouse to prove complete 2 year history?

Thank you!

In your case, this is your first spouse visa. Having a prior 2 year cohabitation isn't a requirement. This is for those renewing their spouse visas.

In my opinion, your relationship didn't start until his marriage was dissolved. Prior to that, he was legally married to someone else. So you might want to look into that. Details of wording matters.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

So technically in my application, shall I write, relationship start date jan 2023 when we moved together?

Also, about documentation!
Is it hard copies we have to send to home office, or it will be uploaded online.

Do we need to submit all documents for whole period? Like one year bills and bank statments. Etc.

What is Cat.A? Simply that income to be used for financial requirements is from within last 6months for a job or employment held for at least that duration.

For the proof of lenght of relationship history, how to submit, i mean from the start of moving dates (15 months) or one from the start date and then just few and the current month.

I m asking because we have 8 joint bills/documents, and for 15 month it will be quit a lot.

Also!
Do we expect any immigration interview or home visit?

If someone know, how window appointment work?

Thank you!

Not aware any home visit.

Thank you all for the reply,
I completed my application and paid for IHS and application fees and succefully booked an biometric appointment

All this process finished at 11:59 pm on 10 April 2024.

I did not see any thing which shows that application has been submitted.

My husband income is £19130. I included only his income as a financial requirement.

My own income is £12500, but I did not included.

From today 11 april the rules are changed and income threshold is £29000

Any one has any idea how it works. My application says further tasks to upload documents.

Can some one tell, does this mean my application has been submitted under £18600 income rule.

Can I still add additional proof of income while uploading documents.

Thank you all!

From your end it is 11:59, we don't know when the server processes and clocks it as submitted at HO's end.
A member recently unknowingly crossed into the new requirements by leaving things till the last minute.
May stand you in good stead to include your income and evidence if possible.

Thank you for the reply!

I had another uncompleted application, i just went through after the deadline passed, i refreshed it. It still says £18600 required.

Any ways, I will be providing extra documents if I can upload, or i will send them by post.

Another question!

I got standard appointment.

I heard that some people can get their decision within two days through Priority/super priority services.

Do someone know at which step we can purchase this service. Is it available at Biometrics booking site or from home office.

Many thanks if someone can help me with this.

Thank you!

It is at time of making appointment and getting priority service is dependent on the capacity to process it.
If you have booked already, existing booking will have to be cancelled to get access to check what service is available.

How to buy priority/super priority service to get faster decision

Post by BlossomAyesha » Thu Apr 11, 2024 7:25 pm

Hi All!
I need some advise on my application!
I applied for FLR(M). On 10 april to apply under £18600 requirement.

I want to get super priority service to get faster decision.

It is my first spouse application.

While paying for Visa application fee, only option appeared was standard visa application fees £1048. I took it anyways

I could not see any option to select priority or super priority service.

I already have biometric appointment booked for 16 april.

Is there anything if can change standard service to priority service.

If some one think I have done any mistake I am happy to cancel the application and apply again.

I understand, to do so I have to show £29000 financial requirement, which is ok,

But I want Priority service.

Can someone help with this, at which step we have to select the service type.

Many thanks

No, not after you have submitted an application in the UK.
If some one think I have done any mistake I am happy to cancel the application and apply again.
That is all you can do but you still might NOT get the Super Priority option, it is limited based on UKVI capacity. Even if you do get the option, it is not a guaranteed service.

Correct.
But I want Priority service.
You only have two options, standard service or SUPER priority which costs £1000. Normal 5 day Priority for £500 does not apply to your visa route.

Priority and super priority are not a guaranteed service.

Is there any specific way to get this appointment?
Cz I just saw standard service. £1048

In case I cancel this application,
Do i have to pay again for IHS or can I use the Old one?

Is the IHS refrence is linked with individual application Id?

Thank you!

Members have reported sometimes getting the option after midnight.

New application, new fees payable. The cancelled application fees will be refunded and takes a few weeks.

Why the rush though if your visa only expires on 1st June?

FLR(M) visas are generally processed within a couple of weeks to 8 weeks using standard service. Have a look at the timeline thread.

Yes, timeline results looks not bad for standard applications,

Dear, one quick question about supporting documents.

Guidlines say, to prove relationship history, we need 6 different sources, so for how many months we need each 6 bills. Is it 6 joint bills for 15 months (we living at same address). It will be around 100 files.

Also my husband is self employed, i have to attach 12 months bank statment to show that his income come into his account. Or he also recieved a statement from HMRC for the last 4 years about his tax paid and balance on his account!

As a safe side, I will be attaching my own p60 salary slips and job contract, letter from employer confirming my position and job dates etc. how many slips should be enough!

Thank you!

Dear,
I am uploading documents today. Can you please help me with;

About same address history, is it enough if I upload in total six joint bills for the last months
Or
6 bills for 4 random month covering last year.

I just want to make it simple not complicated, otherwise i do not have any issue uploading all 12 months.

My husband is self emplyed,
Home office guideline ask for 12 months bank statment. In which money coming.

I have
Accounttant letter
SA 302
12 months bank statements
Shall I upload all?

He also recieved a statment showing paid and unpaid tax from HMRC, shall i attach this as well?

Many thanks , I am asking again because I am not clear yet.

Thank you for your support!
