How to surrender the Indian passport and the OCI

Hi all,

I need help to get the OCI card.

I understand that surrendering the passport is necessary to apply for an OCI card.

Can someone please guide me in a step-by-step process?

I have just applied for my British passport - shall I start these processes before getting the British Passport?

When I look up the OCI application form;
asking this below;
Applicant's passport details;

which passport details should I be giving? The India passport and previous passport details, right?

Really confusing which one should be giving? You to need give UK passport details.

All I have that my passports, my wife current Indian passport, marriage certificate, and British passport, Naturalisation Certificate, Address proof of Driving licence.

What is the declaration form?

Would all this be sufficient, please let me know before I heading to Appointment

The list I provided is generic list of documents will vary based on Individual case.
For you I hope the below documents should be enough below needs to upload and submit copy at VFS

1. Naturalization Certificate
2. British Passport
3. Spouse Passport
4. Marriage Certificate
5. Surrender Certificate
6. Indian Passport(Front and Back Page)
7. Address proof(DL or utility bills)
8. Two photos to submit at VFS

@sathyauk - As mentioned on HIgh Commission of India, London[https://www.hcilondon.gov.in/page/surrender-passport/] Website, Do we need to submit Copy of Indian Passport Front and Last along with non blank pages? You need to submit ffront and back pages. No need of non blank pages
