T2 ICT Cooling Off period abolished – Can now switch in country

The new Skilled Worker visa has lots of benefits relative to Tier 2, but the biggest is probably for T2 ICT staff who can switch employers. Now they are no longer captive, T2ICT staff have lots of opportunities, even if getting the initial contract is more difficult under Covid Tier 2 (which covers most of us at the moment)

You still need to get a job offer, but TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizent, and the ’Big 4’ (PWC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG) look good on your CV. If you can get to the interview stage, chances are your experience and skills will shine and you will have a good prospect of a job offer.

If you have a contract offer at >£300/day, sponsorship is unlikely to be a problem for you.
