Accommodation requirement of Spouse Visa

I hope to bring my wife to the UK soon, we have a daughter with a UK passport who is currently with my wife living in the UAE, both have never been to the UK.

My question is do I need to have a two-bedroom flat, one room for my wife and I and the other for our daughter or can we have a one-bedroom flat.

I am currently living in a shared house with six flats, a friend is moving out of her flat which is a small one-bedroom on the 1st floor, which has just three rooms, which are living room which is being used as a bedroom, bathroom and the main bedroom with a communal Spam on the ground floor,
The main bedroom is too small to have three people in there, so this would become our daughter's room and the living room would become our bedroom/living room.
Would this be allowed when applying for a spouse visa as a big enough dwelling for my wife and me and our 8-year-old daughter?

Yes, as the living space can be a designated bedroom.

Is the property registered with the local authority as Housing in Multiple Occupancy (HMO) ?

Yes it is registered as a HMO

Good. You'll need a letter from your landlord agreeing to your wife and daughter living in the property.

One other tip. If the landlord says they won't provide the letter until they have proof of your wife and daughter's right to reside in the UK (which is common now), ask for a letter agreeing to them joining you in the property conditional on the issue of their settlement visas.

The Entry Clearance Officer (ECO) will accept this.
