Confirmation letter from home office

Hi

I submitted my online application yesterday to extend my spouse visa and I got a confirmation saying I have paid and it has been submitted. I showed this to my employer as evidence that I have applied and awaiting decision. But my employer has asked for confirmation letter from home office I did not receive any such letter/ email. Is there any thing I can do to receive one?

There exist nothing like a formal confirmation letter. Your employer should use ask your permission and
details to carry out 'employer checking service'.
