Home Office Reference or Case ID

Post by chykeo » Thu May 16, 2019 9:20 am

Hi,

My wife applied to switch her Family Route visa (Partner) from the UK using the standard service.
She applied before her current leave expired.
She has done my biometrics and uploaded the documents with UKCVAS.

There's is a possibility that they will still be considering her application at the time her current visa runs out.

Do you know if UKVI will send a letter or email stating they are now considering the application and include the Home Office Reference or case ID?

If not ,do you know what number or email she can use to get the reference?

This is because her employee may want to use the Employee Checking Service to check her immigration status and the Home Office Reference or case ID is mandatory.

Section 3C will protect her from becoming as overstayer until the decision and all her previous rights & privileges will remain same.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

I know it protects her but wanted to know if there's a way she can get the home office reference or case ID and timescales

Even without Home office reference number/ID the employer can check the right of work by using employer helpline probably through date of birth, NINO number or other details.
