Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone could shed some light into what changes are being made and how could it benefit those on 10 years route?
Also it says the early ilr concession will be come into the ‘rules’ - does that mean previously it was the case workers discretion to give early ILR but now if someone clearly meets the eligibility of what they set out as compelling circumstances, then they will be granted early ILR?
Currently my partner as applied for his third FLR FP extension and awaiting decision. He has requested early ILR as he appears to meet the factors in which they consider compelling to grant early ILR.
The new rules also seem to suggest that you can combine time spent on the FLR FP and FLR M visas? For example can my partner do change of circumstances now and request them to consider his FLR FP extension under FLR M (of course making sure he meets the financial/english requirement) and once FLR M granted, will his 5 years on FLR FP transferred to the new FLR M? Therefore he can apply for ILR straight away? (I believe if married to British person, you don’t need to wait 12 months…)
God, all these rules are so confusing!!!
