No joint account is a bit of an issue. A caseworker is not going to look at separate bank statements and perform some forensic financial comparisons. They might look at them but don’t expect them to make judgments or conclusions based on the claims you are making, just not going to happen. Two separate bank accounts are exactly that.

What you appear to have in the way of documentation is weak but it could squeeze through if you are lucky.

As for immigration lawyers … I would be sacking the one that gave you the photos advice…

Frontier Mole has given you good advice. The criteria for an Unmarried Partner Visa requires documented evidence that you are living together in a relationship 'akin' to marriage. You need to submit proof of joint commitments to convince the Case Worker that the partnership is genuine and subsisting.

This may be a more challenging as you're living in a house shared with other residents. What documents in joint names do you have?

PS: those are all for address proof,

For financial proof I'm relying on my partner's income so :

Payslips for 8 months
Letter from her employer confirming the details as per the application form.
Bank statements for 8months confirming income.
P60 until Apr 23.

Relationship support letters for each other outlining our relationship journey.

Cover letter : her confirmation for sponsoring me,
Our first flat together and bills going from one account for better tracking, lack of knowledge of joint accounts.
Current lodging and sufficient space, 1 year of financial support from her, 2nd year of shared rent at 55 (me)/45 split.
Good employment prospects:
1. 2 Rejected employment offers by me for pre-booked trip home since pandemic.
2. My ex employment in a large known company- final payslip
3. My professional degrees and journey towards certification.

Future plans of moving into our own flat, starting our own business

Leaving this here for clarity.

I am sorry to say the majority of what you are able to supply is inconsequential to a caseworker. It really lacks are hard evidence other than the accommodations side. In fact since you have better outlined the evidence I believe it points more to a refusal than a grant. I do hope I am wrong.

Looking at it from a caseworker perspective.

You are not employed at the moment, the fact you have rejected job offers years ago and state you have good job prospects is meaningless as is your degree. What that does say is you have not been able to hold a job or get a sponsor for a new role with your graduate visa soon to expire. So that puts the credibility of the unmarried partner visa straight into question. YES the Home Office actually thinks like that.

Financial side - not a single piece of evidence that can substantiate you operate financially as a couple. This is a near fatal flaw, given you are trying to prove you are in a relationship akin to marriage. I believe this will be the main area of focus if the visa is refused.

Future plans - that counts for absolutely nothing. In fact stating you intend to set up business together will raise a further red flag. Is this business arrangement or a sham partnership. Again a very negative view and it contradicts your good job prospects point too.

Accommodation and maintenance ( your partners salary) are in my opinion in your favour.

In my humble opinion I would suggest you get a sponsored skilled worker role for a year and resolve the issues that are likely to cause a refusal and look to try again next year.

I do appreciate this very much.

I am surprised by this quite a bit. All 'genuineness' of the relationship would be completely ignored. Such a shame.

Taking from your opinions I'd stick to the facts of our relationship and not mention my present employment, history.

About financial responsibility together, ours are lifestyle based, food, shelter and travel. I'll stick to that.
I do think our future plans strengthen the genuineness, as the 'business' relates to a creative industry that we're both in already.

Will try not to confuse them with extra information.
