Spouse Visa extension timescales

Hello,

I'm just wondering how long is it currently taking people to get a decision on their Spouse Visa applications inside the UK? I've seen a post on here with people updating their progress and most people are getting their visas within 6 weeks which worries me a bit.

The average processing time according to UKVI is 8 weeks, but I've done my biometrics and my documents were sent to UKVI about 11 weeks ago. My application is fairly straightforward and they haven't got in contact with me about providing more documents or anything like that.

I need the Visa fairly urgently to be able to apply for a mortgage, so wonder what my options are. I've sent a letter to UKVI couple of weeks ago but haven't heard back.

There is a whole thread for that; that's the best we can get. There's no openly available HO data about actual application lengths and each application is different.
