Hello to all the helpful contributors out there,
I am preparing my ILR application and had a questsion about the evidence of absence from the employer. Just to clarify before posting my actual question, I have not broken continuous residence (180 days rule).
I was wondering how much detail is required in the letter, for example, does it need to list up dates of annual leave, unpaid leave and work from home abroad (for personal reasons). I have read through simillar Q&As out there but could not find one that closely resembled my situation.
For example, due to personal circumstances I had to take 2 sets of 4 weeks of unpaid leave in Dec 2018 and January 2019. For a month or so between November and December of 2018 I also worked remotely while staying overseas with a generous understanding of management (non work-related travel). Due to not having enough leave, since returning to the UK I was also allowed to attach a day or two of work from home days to my annual leave overseas with approval from my manager and on one occasion 10 days of work from abroad followed by about 12 days of annual leave (which I don't think necessarily would have been reflected in the annual leave IT system).
The possible issue is, if I am required to match my dates of leave/absence from UK to the HR annual leave records (e.g., due to working abroad from home at the discretion of management), they will not match.
Is it enough for HR to simply say:
All absences from the UK was authorised including unpaid leave, annual leave, work from home abroad. There was no work-related travel.
Or does it actually need to list up every detail of when these dates were?
Thank you very much
