Documents clarification for Set O ILR application

Post by kriti30 » Thu Jan 04, 2024 11:20 pm

Hi Admins,

I would be applying for my ILR under 5 year Skilled visa route and have the following queries:

1. On filling the application, one of the documents asks for Official document for myself (birth, death certificate ,etc.) so what exactly do I need to upload as part of this ask?

2. During the pandemic I was stuck in India for around 4 months before I could return to the UK on a repatriation flight. Even though I did not exceed 180 days in any rolling 365 days, could I submit my original and changed flight tickets, correspondence with airlines as a proof of being stuck due to pandemic? My original return tickets were on 24th March 2020 but I could not return due to strict lockdown imposed at a very short notice on 21st March 2020 and eventually returned on 4th July on a special relief flight. How could I evidence this disruption in the form of documents proof?

3. My dependents (husband and my son) would be applying at a later point when they would be eligible so do I need to provide proof of cohabitation, marriage certificate, etc with my documents?

4. Could someone please point me to the list of documents I need to submit as part of my ILR (Set O) application under Skilled worker visa (5 years) route please provided I am applying alone currently?

Thanks in advance

1. Passport ??
2. You do not need to provide evidence of this.
3. They have no financial requirements. Only cohabitation evidence: All you need to know about cohabitation evidence
4. You need your Passport, BRP, LIUK, latest payslip and bank statement and an employer letter: All you need to know about the sponsor letter for Skilled Worker route

Thank you zimba for the response.

I have a minor query - in my case I applied online on 5th January and I got the letter from the sponsor with all the required details on 9th January so will it be okay if the date on the letter is after the date on which I submitted my application online?

Just for awareness, my biometrics is on 2nd February

Thank you for the clarification zimba.

Now as I have already made a mistake, can I withdraw my application and fill in a new form for ILR Set O category for a full refund?

I havent yet attended the biometrics which is scheduled on 2nd february.

Thank you zimba for thd clarification.

I have BRP appointment booked for 2nd February. I have uploaded all of the required docs. Do I need to carry a physical copy of all/any of the uploaded documents?

Just to make you aware, I have received my ILR last week. thanks to admins for responding to my queries.

@shivam: Regarding your query around the date of the letter from sponsor, I got it amended to fit within the criteria mentioned by zimba. My application submission was on 4th February and the date of the letter was on 2nd February
