Documents for SET (O) form Partner ILR

Post by ADS15 » Fri Mar 08, 2024 2:12 am

Hi,

I have a few questions about my ILR application documents. Can you please help?

SET(M) or SET(O):
My wife has a British passport (came to the UK on a Tier 2 General visa and acquired citizenship). I came to the UK on a Tier 2 dependent visa and have completed 5 years. Therefore, I am now applying for ILR using the SET (O) form. Is this the correct form?

DOCUMENTS:
After I filled out the SET(O) form, the only list of documents mentioned are as follows:

Mandatory documents:
1. The passport issued by X for me

Other documents:
2. Consent form for the Home Office to request verification checks on "My wife (British passport holder)" for joint accounts or third party support
3. Evidence of my immigration status in the UK
4. Declaration signed by "My wife (British passport holder)" to confirm consent for the Home Office to request verification checks
5. Current Biometric Residence Permit for me
6. All previous passports, travel documents or national identity cards that I used to travel to or remain in the UK
7. Based on previous posts, I believe I also need to show cohabitation proof. I intend to show my marriage certificate, council tax bill and mortgage letter.

Are these documents sufficient or am I missing out on anything?

Additional documents:
8. The form doesn't ask for photographs which is a bit strange. Should I take 2 passport size photographs as well for the appointment?
9. Do I need to show financial proof?

Thank you very much.

SET(O) is correct. The document list you have is perfect. Photographs are not needed as you must enrol your biometrics digitally at your Biometrics appointment where your digital photo will be taken. There is no financial requirement

Thanks a ton Zimba and AmazonianX.

I have a few more questions, can you please help?

1. Consent form for the Home Office to request verification checks on "My wife (British passport holder)" for joint accounts or third party support:

At the end of the application, I downloaded the family consent form which has 3 parts. I believe I (the applicant) will sign the 1st part, my wife will sign the 2nd part and the 3rd part is not applicable to me so I will write "not applicable" and attach this to my application. Is this correct?

2. Declaration signed by "My wife (British passport holder)" to confirm consent for the Home Office to request verification checks:

https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... ration.pdf

Is this the correct form?

3. Evidence of my immigration status in the UK:

Is this just my current BRP card (since the previous ones were returned to UKBA)?

4. When I upload my documents online, do I need to self attest them (add my signature and date)?

Thanks a ton.

Thanks a ton.
