ILR and B1 2 years Expiry condition

Post by enggarkb » Sat Oct 15, 2022 7:38 pm

Hi,
My wife is on a partner visa which will expire on 8th of Jan, 2024.
She has passed B1 English test for second extension on 28-29 March, 2021.
She will apply for ILR before 8th of Jan, 2024 but her B1 English certificate will expire as I heard it expires after 2 year.
Can she apply for ILR with expired B1 English certificate or she should have B1 again for ILR application?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Many thanks,

Regards,

She will be able to use it as she used it for a previous application, there will be an option in the form (unless they change the rules in the meantime!).

Many thanks for your kind reply.
Will you be able to share the option details that you have mentioned?

So what I understand that expiry of B1 will not be considered for ILR application, correct?

Thanks in advance.

As she has used the test result for a successful application before, even if officially expired after 2 years it can be used for future application based on what I wrote above and if the test and provider still.on HO approved list when time for application comes.

When she fills in the application she will be asked whether she has taken the test and used it for a previous application, she has to answer "yes" and provide the relevant details. It won't matter that the test is more than two years old.
