ILR employment letter

I need to provide two documents as part of my ILR (SET O) application:

1) Letter(s) from employer(s) detailing reasons for work-related absences including periods of paid annual leave from the UK and Crown Dependencies

2) A document from the sponsor who issued the certificate of sponsorship that led to your last permission to stay as a Tier 2 migrant confirming that you are: still required for the employment in question for the foreseeable future

For (1), I booked 5 days of annual leave back in Sep 2018. However, I don't work for that employer anymore, so do I need to contact them to get a letter (and what should it contain, is there a template I can use)? I don't know if they will provide one or if they even have any records of my annual leave from 5 years ago. I read somewhere that you don't need to provide annual leave letters from a previous employer, only current. But the form is still asking for some sort of "proof". What do I provide here instead of the letter if I can't get one?

For (2), what should the letter say exactly? Does anyone have a template that I can send to HR so they can fill it out and send it back to me?

Thanks, I have seen that before. But, the form still asks for some evidence, as in, I have to choose one of the options:

- Letter(s) from employer(s) detailing reasons for work-related absences including periods of paid annual leave from the UK and Crown Dependencies

- Letter from applicant detailing any exceptionally harsh consequences to them caused by the change in the way absences from the UK are counted

- Official documents: (e.g. medical, birth or death certificates)

- Letter from travel companies to evidence disruption to travel

- Other

I could choose "Other" but then it asks "Briefly specify what evidence you will provide". What should I say here?

What you choose on the form is not important. The caseworkers do not use answers on the form to evaluate your eligibility. The evidentiary requirement is defined under the immigration rules and explained in the link above, so you submit those as per the requirements under the rules. The document list is inaccurate as it stands, given that it unfortunately has not been updated since the Tier 2 General visa route was totally abolished two years ago. The advice given to you is correct, regardless of the document list you are getting

This is the letter I got from HR:

"We are pleased to confirm that <employer name> currently employ <my name> as a <job title> for <office name>. <my name> has been with the company since <date> and their current salary is <salary> per annum on a Permanent contract. They are currently employed and work 40 hours per week. Their SOC code is <code>."

Is this OK?

Yes however better to say that you are required for the foreseeable future

I think that's implied by "permanent contract"

It was just a suggestion as being a little verbose may not be bad
