Hello everyone,
My wife is preparing for above English language test for ILR purpose.
Just wondering if anyone given this test recently share their experience & provide any pointers to training materials & mock tests please?
It's all computer based test & no human interaction in this test and all the study material on Pearson website, etc. is focused on PTE Academic test unfortunately.
Appreciate any help. Thanks.

Thanks Cullinan. We've booked the test as the test centre was the nearest option so she wants to go ahead with it rather than cancel & lose 50% money.
If she doesn't clear it (hope it didn't come to it, touchwood) then I'll suggest this test. The test centres for this are 50 & 100+ miles away.

Thanks gdk199, but all videos on their website & YouTube channel are PTE academic related right?
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

This will be fine. If your wife can follow these academic videos, then she can definetely have no problem with home test

Except if it has changed, used to be that at the point of registration and payment you are given links to materials relevant to the particular exam you register for.
Hope what you registerd for is UKVI B1?

Yeah, we registered for UKVI B1, but the materials they gave are just 1 video per type of questions expected and nothing more. Just example video which are a couple of minutes long, that's all
Everything on this page is all we got for preparation:

Ok, if so concentrate on what you got for preparations, should not exceed that. Actually the B1 exam is supposedly not a hard nut to crack. Wishing her success.

Well, not much given hence trying to find other resources to help her prepare. As this test was only introduced a few months ago there's not much I guess. Anyways, thank you all for your input.

Hi @gdk199 can you ask your wife if "Re-tell story" was part of the test or not. Pearson website is not clear and after raising a ticket with them they are still checking & haven't come back with an answer so far.

Yes, my wife said it has the re-tell story part, but it is easy. Do not panic

My wife has cleared the exam successfully, however, she got only three type of questions "Repeat Sentences", "Describe Images" and "Story - Question & Answer". She didn't get "Retell Story", so just wanted to mention here for anyone else who may be preparing for it. Having said that, their website has conflicting info on the type of questions expected, so do prepare for it just in case.

Hello, i registered for the same test. How was your wife's experience? Worried there'll be other people taking exams and it'll be loud.
Was it easy enough?
Thanks

Yes, that was her major complaint. There were around 15+ people taking exam at the same time and she could hear others and it was distracting. Sometimes others were talking about the question/topic she was seeing on screen.
Exam was easy enough (now that she cleared it

).
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.
