Indian Tourist Visa Application Query

Indian Tourist Visa Application Query

Looking for some help, applying for Indian tourist visa for the whole family on Friday. My wife has recently surrendered her Indian passport. For the section “previous visa/current valid visa” my wife has travelled to india before but on her Indian passport, but it asks for last visa number, type of visa, place and date of issue.
Is it just easier for me to say no to this section?

Also for myself and the kids, we have travelled on an Evisa previously that is not an option on type of visa drop down, should I just put tourist visa?

Any help appreciated please.

If your wife travelled as an indian citizen with her Indian passport that is not visit, but travel to home country, hence you need to select no at the top. Visit is recorded for foreign nationals.

If however, she travelled after naturalisation, but before obtaining British passport then you may select yes and mention not applicable in visa details section.

Also for myself and the kids, we have travelled on an Evisa previously that is not an option on type of visa drop down, should I just put tourist visa? Please check your previous evisa approval email, it would mention visa type as well as service name and fill accordingly. Alternatively, your passport would carry entry immigration stamp with the visa type.

Any help appreciated please.

Thanks mate that is solid advice. I have to select no, she has not travelled on her Indian passport since getting naturalized.

Your right regarding the email, see blow, i think the only option for me is to select Tourist Visa, its the closest one.

Went on Friday morning, what an experience, queued 45 minutes as there was a computer glitch, appointment at 11:45, got a token at 12:15, was seen at 1:15, got a decent guy who assisted us, all done in 30 mins or so, 4 applications. I wasn't aware they send back passports, rather than you collect. Make sure you print appointment letter for each application, luckily the guy photocopied an extra 2 for us.

Checked on status all 4 application are under process, no email or text received as yet. Have DX tracking numbers.

The visa is free, the receipt say a total of £31.57 each for Service charge, SMS etc, but i only paid a total of £114.28, which shows i paid £28.57 per visa.

I want to apply India tourist visa for my 1 year baby who is British citizen.

when I try to access showing error as "The specified URL is inaccessible at this time. Please try after some time"

are you getting same?

I can access the link just fine.

Have you tried different browsers, maybe test the link from your phones data.

Hi prem. When I book my appointment I only put one passport number and name. So do they accept other family members application as well or not.

Please reply
You need to create as many applications as the number of people you are applying for, though only need to book one appointment.

So for 4 people there would be 4 separate applications submitted on the same day at the same appointment.

I tried on Chrome and Firefox and it didnt work. Finally worked on Microsoft Edge browser. Clear browser cache and try multiple browsers. It should work.

Sorry for the delay, Yes i have managed by restarting machine couple of times and clearing catch and cookies. finally filled online form.

can any one guide what documents do we need provide for baby tourist visa?
our visa status
father - ILR
mother - ILR dependent
Infant - British passport.

have any idea how long it takes to get approve?
