IRP card still not delivered after a month

Post by RuslanT » Tue Oct 10, 2023 1:07 pm

Hi,

ISD sent me the email confirming my renewal at the start of September and told me that my IRP will be delivered within 2 weeks. It's been more than a month and the card still isn't here. I've emailed them several times and they haven't replied to me once. I'm seriously out of options. I need to travel to the UK to see my family over Christmas which requires me to apply for a UK visa first, which is why I need the card so urgently. I'm just posting this to see if anyone else is going through the same thing...

Similar situation here. I applied for my Stamp 4 (5 year renewal) through my solicitor over a month ago and they haven't even acknowledged my application has been received. Now that my current IRP is expired and I had my solicitor request that they at least send me a letter to show my application is pending (so I can travel, show my employer, etc) and they still haven't replied or provided anything.

Everything about this entire department appears to be dysfunctional and it seems they do not care in the least that they are affecting people's livelihoods.

Reach out to them via registered post. Sometimes they reply through that.

I just tried tried emailing them again, this time with "Travel Urgency" in the subject line. They just gave me a boilerplate response that had nothing to do with my issue. I'm not sure what else I can do at this point other than try sending a physical letter. I really hope I don't have to spend 300 euros again

if ur travel is urgent , go to immigration office in Dublin in the morning and request them to do the needful

They usually send this with tracking - come up to them and maybe ask for a tracking number at least so they (and you) can see what's with it?

It unlikely they will give a tracking number. All what they will tell you is they will reprint the card incase it doesn't arrive. They won't entertain OP at the immigration office expecially the Dublin Immigration office. The personal at the help desk has no idea about IRP printing.

In past when renewals were done direct in Dublin your option was possible now it's very unlikely.

If OP is not getting anywhere with emails. He should try registered post or call them.

You can also try to email this

immigrationsupport@justice.ie

Don't forget to include your application number, date your renewal was accepted and your full postal address with Eircode. You can make the subject as "Have not received IRP".

They might sometimes - there was a post about someone being able to speak to a visa officer. So with due persistence, things might be possible.

But I agree, it's more of a last resort.

Registered post is a great option; calling ..the only number available is the slot booking one, which is, probably not really helpful.
