Permanent application done later

Post by spineyro » Mon Jun 06, 2022 4:08 pm

Hey Guys, Thanks for your time.

Ive done the application before the expire date, but was 2 weeks before the expiration cos I was wrongly advice by NCP, They told us, we need to do the Renew, 30 days before and never told us about the permanent process. I am so stress about the application. I need to work and don't lose the status os legal residence.

1- Ill get a letter with an extension?
2-Can be rejected because of this?
3- are they doing exceptions?

Thanks

Seb

I'm a bit confused about your status.
What did you apply as (EU Treaty Rights/Critical Skills/etc)?
Is it a renewal or first time application?
If renewal, when's the expiration date of current permission?
Do you have an application in progress at the moment?

Thanks for your answer,

I have Stamp 4 EuFam, expiring in one week, and Ive have applied for a permanent the 1st of June, before the expiration. Ive done this cos of the mistake of the NCP answer, they told me in October need to renew my Visa and never told me I needed to do the permanent residence.

I hope this can clarify,

Thanks

Seb

If I'm understanding this correctly, you've applied for PR from EU treaty rights, but your current stamp will expire in a week and you need something to hold onto while it's processing.
Didn't have any Treaty Rights experience, so can't advise on that front, unfortunately. You can submit a renewal application to ISD for a new stamp online at the very least, if you live in Dublin. You having a renewal number should satisfy conditions of legal residence, even though I can't find explicit mention of it. It says here (https://www.irishimmigration.ie/stateme ... -may-2022/) that
If an employee’s Irish Residence Permit (IRP) card has expired and they are unable to obtain a valid registration card by 31 May 2022, they are still legally permitted to remain in the State provided they show proof that they have applied to renew their registration and are waiting for it to be processed. All renewals are processed online and applicants are issued with a receipt of application and a unique application number (OREG number).
and I would hope it'll apply in your case, as ISD can't cope with the volume of applications.
