My child recently received an Irish passport through naturalisation. Subsequently, I surrendered his Indian passport at the Indian Embassy in Dublin and obtained the surrender certificate.
Following this, I applied for an OCI card on the official portal (https://ociservices.gov.in) and generated the application form.(I selected option "New OCI Registration" and followed https://ociservices.gov.in/submitAppDetails to fill application details.)
During my visit to the Embassy to submit my documents, I was informed that my application was categorized incorrectly, as the printed application was labeled as a "Minor Application." However, I did not select any minor application option, as no such options were available on the portal.
The Embassy advised me to submit the application specifically under the Indian Origin category. Unfortunately, I am unable to locate any option on the portal to initiate a new OCI application under this category.
1. What the process of getting Indian OCI card?
2. What is the correct link for submitting the application under the Indian Origin category?
