OCI Documents to upload for Minor

Hi,

Minor is born in India, held Indian passport, hence, Relation with the root indian for minor is self(This is for someone's reference too).

Have following questions regarding Minor OCI documents to upload, if someone can clarify it will be good.

1. do we need to upload self attested documents i.e take print out, sign and upload on the website or just upload no need to sign it.You need to upload self attested documents

2. For minor, can we upload parent's signature or do we need to upload the baby's thumb impression.Signature - If child below 5 years is unable to sign, then thumb impressions (left
hand) with Blue/Black Ink only will have to be uploaded. Minor children who are able
to sign/write their names should do so and it should be uploaded. Parents need to
sign in the relevant space in the application form as well as sign all the copies on
behalf of the minor child.

3. For address proof, I read that they don't accept bank statements. Do we need to upload both the paren'ts address proof or one parent address proof is enough?
Because here is the scenario:
i. one parent has DL, utility bill on his name.One parent address proof should be fine
ii. 2nd parent has bank statement, council bill and has provisional license (No DL nor utility bill)
So, do they accept provisional license if theree is no utility bill on one of the parent's name if we have to upload both the parent's address proof?provisional license is valid address proof, you can submit provisional license

4. Parents origin document: One of the parent is british, so, do we need to upload cancelled passport along with surrender certificate or just the british passport + surrender certificate is enough.You need to submit both parents passports not surrender certificate.

5. Looks like there is not much category mentioned in the drop-down menu to upload documents. I understand we can upload combined 2 documents, can we upload 3 documents in 1 pdf as well?

Like I'm uploading following for Minor:
---- CATEGORY -------- :--------- DOCUMENTS UPLOADED ---------
1. CURRENT PASSPORT : british passport and naturalisation.
2. INDIAN ORIGIN PROOF : Cancelled Indian passport and surrender certificate.
3. RELATIONSHIP CERTIFICATE : birth certification and address proof.
4. MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE : Parents marriage certificate and 1 parent indian passport + BRP/, another parent british passprt and the surrender certificate .( this is 4 documents).surrender certificate is nor required.

Please do let know the correct category to upload the docs?You can upload in any category. Combine documents in some pdfs and upload into any category

No need of self attested documents to be uploaded

Baby's thumb impression has to be uploaded. make sure you edit the size properly like it is within the specified size.

you can provide your bank statement with the UK address. Provisional license or council tax is also acceptable.

Since the child is minor, both parents documents current UK passport copies are required. For Indian Origin proof, you may upload your OCI first and last page Or Indian passport first and last page and Surrender certificate or if the child has own indian origin proof eg Surrender and Indian passport then the parents Indian origin documents are not required.

During uploading of the documents the title may vary but you have to upload all the required documents. You may select any option. Title may vary. But you have to upload all the relevant documents under any title in the scroll bar. After opening the documents the actual documents received it does not make any hurdle for the title.
