OCI photo upload Error

I am trying to upload my photo and signature in OCI but its giving error.

Both the files are under 100 kb size. Both are JPEGs. What am I doing wrong? Should it be PDFs?

Error says : Applicant photo should be only jpeg/jpg file. Please select another one.

It is a jpeg file. Anyone else getting this problem. How to sort this.

Can anyone help with this. Is their a way to skip this step or do it in person at the VFS office. This is ridiculous. the photo is as per the guidelines. Still it wont accept it. I also reduced the photo size to under 30kb. Still the same error.

I managed to upload the pics. It was not working on ie9 so I used firefox and it worked.
