Questions Regarding Schengen visa application form

Hi,

I'm applying for a visa for my long-term stay in Belgium (for internship). Ok so I have a few questions regarding the Schengen visa application form:

1. #18 ("If you reside in a country other than your country of origin, have you permission to return to that country?")... I was born in South Korea, but right now I'm Canadian. What do I answer for this question? Do I just leave it blank?

2. #24 (# of entries requested). Would I have any disadvantage if I check on "multiple entries"? I plan to travel other EU countries during my stay in Belgium.

3. #27 ("In the case of transit, have you an entry permit for the final country of destination?"). My final destination would be Belgium, and I don't need anything but passport to enter Belgium. So What do I say for this question?

In addition, do I need to buy my flight tickets before submitting my visa application + other documents? I'm just worried if I don't get the visa in time and buy flight tickets, there might be chances that I need to pay extra for changing flight tickets...

Plus, how long does it usually take to process for a long-term Schengen visa? Do I have to submit all the documents originla? or just photocopies are ok?

The question is about where you live right now. So what's your status there?

What exactly are you applying for? If this is a D type visa a D+C visa would be necessary for travelling to other Schengen countries but since you are Canadian you can do that without getting an explicit visa in advance.

This applies when you are applying for a transit visa which you are obviously not.
