Rental Agreement in case of dependent Visa

Post by Paragdce » Mon Jan 30, 2012 5:19 pm

Hi All

I am staying in Aberdeen for about two months on an assignment with a company over here. I need a Rental Agreement for the dependent visa of my spouse. However I am finding it quite difficult to obtain so. is there any alternative to Rental Agreement that I can present before the visa department. would Hotel booking be one of the option if I am not able to produce a rental agreement.
Kindly answer my queries:(

The most important thing is to provide the evidence of relationship so far I know. There is nothing about rental agreement in the PBS dependant policy guidance. People are being refused mainly poor evidence of relationship. It could be you can stay in a single accomodation, so what the meaning of renting a double accomodation while waiting for spouse to come in and pay extra money where the it is not sure how long the visa could take to be granted or it will be granted at all.

Yes sir That is true but the evidence of relationship would be furnished through Marriage certificate. In India the documents required also include rental agreement for short term Tier2 ICT transfer. Can you if possible throw some light on the rental/tenancy agreement and the option apart from that??

Rental or Tenancy Aggrement is very much required for dependant visa, If your company has provided the accomodation, then get a letter from your company about accomodation details. Also include Tenancy aggrement between your company and landlord.

Recently I have got dependant visa for my wife, I had submitted original tenancy aggrement, NOC from landlord.

i am also planning to apply my wife to be my dependant im am also on tier 2 general visa..my problem is that i am living with a friend and i wont be able to obtain a tenancy agreement, he told will make a letter stating that he is will accomodate me and my wife..would that be enough to prove the accomodation? Moreover, can you give me a sample of a letter from the employer confirming that i am working full time..coz my employer made me a letter but it didnt indicate my annual salary..would that be okay?

I am also planning to appy for my wife's dependent visa. What are the documents needed to prove our relationship ? I thought only marriage certificate was required. I got married on Nov 18th and came back to UK to switch from Tier 4 to Tier 2 General. Will that be an issue ?
