Salary Credited (For extension) as Counter credit and Bill p

Post by Aani » Mon Jan 30, 2012 9:28 am

Dear all,

Just looking at my bank statements (cross verifying for my extension). I worked for 2 companies during my extension period and when I received salary from 1st company the transaction type stated as "Bill payment XXX salary DEC 2011" and from the 2nd company the salary is credited as "Counter credit GIRO YYY salary JAN 2012".

Is knew its just the transaction type which is difference. But is it going to create any question while evaluating the bank statements for extn?

Thanks in advace for the reply,

Best Regards,
Aani

No it will not.

The actual wording doesn't matter, as long as the amount paid to you and shown on the statement can be verified against a second source i.e payslip.

What's there in Bank statement transaction remarks matters even if the values match to your salary slips.

One of my friend's VISA was refused on these grounds.
His company credits the salary via some third party company which shows on the Bank statement as "KS LLP CITY CLIENT".

UKBA refused saying that this doesn't seem to be your employer so the 2 proofs are not in sync.

Later on he got a Letter issued by employer stating that the Salary creditor is indeed the one mentioned on the bank statment and then he applied again with fresh payment.

I think your case is ok as it says the word "Salary" in the remarks but my suggestion would be to get a letter from employer stating the same.

Hi Mantasingh,

What I meant by the actual wording doesn't matter is that if the company name is stated and then some other word like counter credit or bill payment or bank giro credit that those words don't matter.

I should have been clearer, but thanks for pointing that out.

Very useful to know.

To the original poster, I hope from the responses, you have the answer you need.

Kind Regards
