Schengen visa travel to Switzerland for Non EU citizen residing in UK

Post by jainvikas8 » Sun Dec 31, 2023 8:42 am

Hi all,

I'm looking to apply for tourism visa for me and my family (me, wife and 3 years old daughter)

We all hold Indian passport with valid BRP and are residents in U.K since 3 years.

Should we apply at tlscontact website? What are the documents required?

Since my wife is unemployed and minor is also travelling, what documents would be required, any template?

Does the hotel, flights needs to be done very prior, even though we are thinking of travelling after 5 months?

Can we get a visa appointment, prior to submission of application, if yes where?

Should we apply as multiple entry, as I see visa is valid for 5 years for any other countries.

Thanks

Yes, documents are listed on the website.

It's all there - read through the list of documents first and come back later if any questions.

Yes. You don't have to do it this early - the optimal time night be closer to the date, but up to you.

You have to get one on TLScontact.

It doesn't work like that, you don't get to choose. For Schengen visa, you pay the same price and the consulate decides on the length of your visa.
As it's your first one and Swiss consulate is not very lax, I expect you to get a single entry for the duration of the trip/mult for about a month, but you never know.
You can tick "mult" in the application and hope for the best.
