Thank you. Does my having overstayed mean that technically I shouldn't be working?

Hello,

I am an Australian living in the Uk on a spouse visa. Unfortunately I have recently been quite ill and as such did not notice my visa expired in early January. Does anyone have any experience of what my options are now having overstayed?
