YES I can apply to switch from Tier 2 ICT - TO - Tier 2 general - and start working with the new employer under the Tier 2 General, BUT I WILL STILL HAVE TO LEAVE THE UK, for 12 months, in 2017, when my stay in the UK is 6 years from the first entry?

What I read is that I wll be subject to 6 year limit from the date of my initial TIER 2 ICT? Which in my case will be 2 years?
IF I CHANGE SPONSOR for a General Tier 2, will I need to leave the UK, bearing in mind that I entered the UK before April 2011?
