BbK could you please write how your situation got resolved? I'm really angry and upset about ignorance of passport office staff. Today I got a call back from another staff member who had no idea what a PR is... I just don't know how to deal with this absurd situation.

Hi I'm in exactly the same situation: I obtained my PR document in 2012 and my baby was born in 2013. I was convicted that there wouldn't be any problem with my child's British passport application since the PR had been obtained before the child was born. Thanks Jambo. The thing is I phoned home office twice (once spoke to a senior advisor) and was told that utility bills or bank statements are insufficient evidence of residency. I find it strange because I used bank statements when applying for my PR and the application was successful. The AN ...

Thanks Vinny for the info. I read the document but it doesn't answer my question whether I have to provide 5 or 3 years evidence of residency if my wife becomes British before me. As far as I understand, the guide says that spouses of British citizens have to provide 3 years evidence so it shouldn't ...
