Re: OCI Status

The PDF link mentioned above in Q9 is vague and does not specify clearly what happens after submission. So I emailed HCI London with the OCI Misc application details enquiring if the process is complete and got the below reply today: This refers to application bearing MHA file No. GBRL######## for ...

Re: OCI Status

Are we sure that just submitting and getting an acknowledgement email is all that is needed ? If I go to OCI tracking services webpage and put the details in, it says "Your application has been acknowledged by competent authorities. It is under consideration." It has been this status for more than a ...

Re: Aadhaar Card for OCI holders

Hmm.. not really and this is the gist of my query. Nationality seems to have nothing to do with getting an Aadhaar ID, a bit like SSN in USA or NI in UK.It seems Foreigners can get an aadhaar if they are staying for more than 182 days in the past 12 months and how it is being checked is also ...

There are all sorts of contradictory information about aadhaar validity ...

I read through most of the threads, even the 'other countries' as well - mainly because if I could start over, I would have studied immigration law. I never knew I liked it so much until I met this beautiful forum <3 The most intriguing ones for me are the threads where someone is close to being ...

OCI shenanigans

Re: Rise in Xenophobia and hate since Brexit

I should have said 'a few moderators / gurus'... apologies. A tiny tiny minority of xenophobes started hijacking the results of the referendum and decided in their petty minds that they have got the mandate of 52% of the public to be openly dearly beloved. That tiny tiny minority now seems to be ...
