Re: Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)

Hi pkul7de, I read your long post and I am really happy you got there. I am very curious to know how you got your OCI in the end. "The story after that is still interesting on how I finally got OCIs in my hand, since I had no plan to go to UK in foreseeable future, " Please can you let me know as I ...

Re: British passport for British citizen child born in India

Please can somebody answer my query below?

I wanted to know if this same procedure is applicable if the child was born in the UK but currently residing in India? Or is it applicable only to children born in India to British parents.

Thanks a lot.

Re: Settlement visa for child from India, VAF4A Timelines pl

Thanks CR001. "She would have to apply from scratch again" Do you mean she has to apply for ILR (or is it ILE?) again from India? Or a settlement visa? If she is successful with a returning resident visa, will she have her ILR back? Its mainly due to our child (health issues) that she has been there.

Re: Maintanance for Child settlement visa

Hi CR001,

Is there any other quicker alternative for me to bring my son to the UK?

Going through the settlement visa will take atleast 6 months from now (3 more months for maintenance and 3 months for processing the visa).

Thanks

Thanks CR001.

No he was born in the UK.

Will it not help the case if I showed them previous years' earnings and other evidence?

Thanks.

Re: Entry VISA for my son in India

Thanks a lot for that secret.simon. You said: I forgot to mention, if the mother loses ILR status, likely so would the child. So, get them to the UK and start the paper work as soon as possible. Currently my son is eligible for a British citizenship through MN1. If the mother loses ILR, will he no ...

Hi fwd079 Many thanks for your reply. Right of Abode/Certificate of Entitlement for child in India

Hi guys, Hope you are all fine. I have some doubts on acquiring Right of Abode/CoE for our son. I and my wife both have ILR since April 2013. Our son was born in December 2012 in Cambridge, UK. Because he was born before we both got ILR, I understand that he is not automatically British. So I have ...
