I don't know how long IELTS is valid if you are going to apply for a higher instituation. The FLR(HSMP) guide has the following paragraphs. By the way, if they don't accept my TOEFL score, will they reject me directly or let me take IELTS test? for those seeking to extend their existing leave under ...

"5.2 On what date do you intend to arrive? " What will you answer to this? Also you will not be considered as having a valid Leave to Enter or Remain in the UK. As even if you manage to get an Entry Clearance this will only serve as Leave to Enter when stamped by an immigration officer upon entry ...

another way to get entry clearance, feasible?

For those guys who are in UK but have no time to go back to their home countries to get entry clearance, if the UK embassy/consulate in that country does not require face-to-face interview, is it feasible to post passport and relevant forms to a friend, and let him submit the application and post ...

I realized that my credit card was charged on the same day when I got my reference number through email. So it's very possible that it does not mean the case worker is working on my case.

You are kidding. I'd like to know how many programmers earn £50k+ in non-financial companies in London. Seems the pay in London is lower, and the expense is higher compared with New York. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm in UK now. It's very very difficult to get a new reference from my first employer. As I said, if they can give me 25 points based on references from my other employers, I can still pass 65 points. So my question is if they will give me 0 point only because they are not satisfied with the first ...

question about work experience scoring

Hi, I have 5+ years of work experience as a full-time software engineer, so I should get score 35 in the work experience section. But the reference from my 1st employer, whom I have worked for around 3 years, is very concise. I'm not sure whether the case worker thinks it's graduate level of job ...

no, my employer did not give me. As a foreigner, I'm not familiar with the tax system. I once asked for P45 form after I joined another company.

The problem is even if I got the tax return from my former employer, I still can't the tax return for this year until May, right?

what's Income Tax Return

HSMP form accepts Income Tax Return as salary evidence. What's it, and can I ask for it from HM Revenue?

I have worked in UK for around 1 year and a half. But the 1st company I worked for is very very small, and the wage slips look like fake although they are genuine.

does copy of passport really need to be notarised?

I'm going to apply HSMP under 28. The link below says the copy of passport needs to be notarised, but the hsmp guide does not mention it. http://www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/working_in_the_uk/en/homepage/news/announcements/highly_skilled_migrant1.html Is it really ncessary? If so, how to notarise it in ...
