Travel Document

Hello, your help on this question would be greatly appreciated. A friend of mines is about to apply for ILR. They have the Biometric Card which shows that their Leave to Remain is for 5 years etc... He hasn't got his original Zimbabwe passport anymore but has got a Zimbabwe Travel Document which is ...

Re: British Nationality 2016

I personally am of the opinion that straight forward Citizenship Applications are looked at 1st and dealt with quicker aswell. Regarding applications with Convictions or questionable Good Character, it then gets put to one side to be thoroughly checked etc... From a personal experience ( 3 FPN's and ...

Re: CCJ and convictions - Citizenship

I'm sorry but i had to do that..lol There are loads of helpful people in this forum who keep you going with their accurate advise and information and keep you upbeat and positive. And then, there are some absolute loosers.. Do not feel as if you don't have another chance in life if you made a couple ...

Re: Criminal Conviction: Hope for me?

There is one thing i have learned so far. The Home Office isn't there to Punish people for their Convictions. The Courts should / will have already done that with the relevant punishment ( Fine, Community Service etc.. ) Just be 100% honest, as everything will be checked. I spoke to a friend of ...

Re: CCJ and convictions - Citizenship

Just to clarify something.. Regarding one of my FPN's... I passed my Driving Test in 2009. In August 2010 i was awarded a CU80 with 3 Points & £100. In September 2010 i got caught speeding and was given an SP30 which 2 months later ( November 2010 ) led to my Driving Licence being revoked, which ...

Re: CCJ and convictions - Citizenship

Well this has become ridiculous. I managed to get some great advice so far from some very helpful people here. But for the rest...i suppose the spitefulness comes from the fact that they may have tried for BC's themselves and have failed quite badly...but to mislead someone else because of some ...

Re: CCJ and convictions - Citizenship

I'm confused...am i under the right impression that applying for BC as a Spouse of a British Citizen is easier and slightly more straighforward that applying for BC in any other way. Obviously unspent Criminal Records are always gonna by a stumbling block. In my case though all of my Convictions are ...

Re: Clear Information on CCJ when Applying for Citizenship

Thank you. I realise tharlt offences in general, no matter how small or big they will be not looked upon favourably at all obviously. But its about distinguishing a serious and a petty crime for crying out loud. Just out of curiouosity, does it help then if the application for Citizenship is being ...

Re: Urgent Help & Advice Required!!

I'm sorry but i don't accept your comment of "Repeat Offender". There are people that have been awarded British Citizenship who have worse criminal records than mine. I'm certainly not a Repeat Offender as my main and only Crime was the Attempted Fraud in 2010 which i only got 120 Hours Community ...

Re: Urgent Help & Advice Required!!

Luckily enough i managed to find the dates on the 2010 Driving Endorsements. I will include the Driving Endorsements information on the Additional Information Page. I will put down the dates, Penalty Points, Fine given etc. Best to be honest anyway. No point in NOT declaring by using an excuse of ...

Re: Urgent Help & Advice Required!!

Unofortunately it't not in the Counterpart as my Counterpart was replaced in December 2010 which meant that the new Counterpart did not have that information anymore on regards of the 2010 Endorsements. Also, on regards of the entering the Convictions on the Form...there is only enough space for 2 ...

Re: Urgent Help & Advice Required!!

My only concern though is that i'm not sure ofbthe exact dates of my Driving Endorsements in 2010.

Would DVLA still have a record of them even though they have been completely removed by now?

CCJ and convictions - Citizenship

Apologies in advance if this has been asked already, but i'm trying to get a clear enough answer on this matter. I have a CCJ which was put on my Credit File in July 2011 for the amount £513 for a Credit Card debt. It's still unpaid at the moment and have not made any arrangements to pay it since i' ...
