Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Hi, I had a biometric-enrolment appointment with UKVCAS about a week ago. However, when I log in to the UKVCAS website, I still see a "Manage your services" button with an option to cancel my (past!) appointment; an option to upload more documents; etc. (Although all the other documents I'...

Re: non-EU passport renewal and naturalisation

Hi rays2013,

Have you already requested the proof of non-acquisition of British citizenship via form NQ? I was wondering about your processing time/whether you've already received yours. (I applied three weeks ago, though understand the 10 day processing time no longer applies due to COVID).

Thanks!

Re: Retaining South African citizenship before SET(M) application

Hi CR001 - thanks for your reply. My problem is that the South African High Commission in London is currently not holding any in-person appointments, due to COVID. Their website also clearly states that I need to have registered my foreign marriage with Home Affairs in RSA before they can process my...

Re: Retaining South African citizenship before SET(M) application

Hi - thanks for the reply! Sorry, I should clarify that I am applying for ILR and then want to apply for British citizenship after that.

Retaining South African citizenship before SET(M) application

Hi all, I'm a South African who will be applying for ILR via SET(M) later this year. I would like to retain my South African citizenship, and have a couple of queries about this process, though unfortunately South Africa House in London hasn't answered my calls or emails for the past few weeks. So, ...

Re: FLR(M) waiting times

Thanks for the advice babymama. My current visa (tier 4) is actually valid for quite a while still - this application however was to switch to a spouse visa. So hopefully withdrawing my application won't make me an over-stayer. However...both my wife and I need to travel regularly and it's quite cri...

Re: FLR(M) waiting times

Unfortunately still haven't heard anything back from the Home Office. Letters and emails unanswered; phone calls all unhelpful. Is it likely to delay/jeopardise my application if I put in a request to have my passport (and my wife's passport) returned, so that we can apply for visas (not UK) for upc...

Re: FLR(M) waiting times

Thanks for the reply - I called them yesterday, and unfortunately they just told me that they are unable to access my application unless it was made more than 8 weeks ago, in line with their published service standards. (When I called 0121 7133229, they said they could only discuss it if more than ...

Re: FLR(M) waiting times

Hi - not sure if I'm posting in the right place, but here goes. I applied at Solihull PEO/Premium Service Centre under FLR(M) earlier this month. Straightforward application, ticked all the boxes, had biometrics enrolled; but the case worker asked me to send extra stamped bank statements (my bank ha...
