Visitor visa delay

Hi guys, I applied for a UK visitor visa from the USA on July 19th and submitted by biometrics on August 4th. I got an email on August 25th saying my application is under process by Visits UK and I should receive a decision within 3 weeks of submitting my biometrics. I then got another email on ...

Re: USA inadmissibility

Thanks for your reply. Sorry but I don't appreciate your reply because you have clearly not read what I wrote. I have never been convicted of any crime. Being arrested for a crime doesn't make you guilty. I have not tried to blame anyone for anything in my post so I don't get where you get that from ...

USA inadmissibility

I need some advice on whether or not I am inadmissible to the United States. I was a student in the US from 2002-2005. Around 2004, I experienced some financial hardship which resulted in me violating the terms of my visa by engaging in unauthorized employment and also not attending school for 1 ...

Re: British citizenship with poor USA immigration history

Yeah I am going to declare the caution as well. My original worry was my immigration history in the US which shouldn't affect it as you guys have said.

Re: British citizenship with poor USA immigration history

Thanks. I will disclose the speeding ticket for peace of mind and just to be safe. I'll be making my application in June so thanks a lot for your help.

Re: British citizenship with poor USA immigration history

Thanks again. I can’t seem to see anywhere it says the good character requirement is for over the last 10 years. Can you please point me in the right direction? Thanks

Re: Old FPN gone from licence and AN application

hi guys, i'm in a similar situation as I received a speeding ticket n the USA in 2003. I didn't pay it on time and the court suspended my license until I paid it which I eventually did. Do I declare this? If I don't, and the home office find out, can they accuse me of deception?

Re: British citizenship with poor USA immigration history

|Thanks again for coming back to me. OK this is making me feel reassured. Do you know of any cases similar to mine? Or of people refused due to not disclosing a traffic violation from more than 10 years ago? Sorry for all the questions

Re: British citizenship with poor USA immigration history

Thanks again. I guess my main worry was that they would take time to look into traffic violations outside the UK. So are you saying you don't think they run checks with the US immigration/authorities for all applications? I was under the impression they did.

Re: British citizenship with poor USA immigration history

Thanks again. I'm not disclosing anything in relation to my immigration history with the US. What I'm worried about disclosing is the speeding ticket. Is this something the UK can find out about? The record of the ticket is public and i was able to find out about it by going to the court's website ...

Re: British citizenship with poor USA immigration history

Thanks for replying. No I'm not wanted for anything nor have I gotten into any trouble except for the caution for the offensive email I sent in 2008. So do you advise that I disclose the speeding ticket in the US?

British citizenship with poor USA immigration history

hi guys, I need some advise here. I got a speeding ticket in 2003 in the US. I didn't pay the ticket on time therefore a court placed a temporary suspension on my license until I paid it. According to the court, this is standard procedure for tickets not paid on time so there wasn't a conviction and ...

Subject access request

Hi I made a subject access request to the home office and requested all the information they have on me. I got it back a few weeks ago however it didn't have any of my out of country visa application forms. Is this normal? I specifically requested my out of countrty visa application forms when ...

Re: Revoking ILR

No I didn't. Basically on my visa application when I was outside the U.K., there are two questions that ask if you've been denied a visa to any country a d another question that asks if you've been deported or otherwise asked to leave any county. Both questions were only asked on my visa application ...

Re: Revoking ILR

Thanks for your answer. However, please take a look at this https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/469493/Revocation_of_Indefinate_Leave_October.pdf If you go to Section 4: Reasons for Not Revoking Indefinite Leave, you will see that it says Indefinite leave should ...

Re: Revoking ILR

I put on my form that I had never been denied a visa for any other country and also that I had not been deported or asked to leave any other country. Both were not true as I was denied a USA visa and also asked to leave the USA at one time in order to correct my status. Both happened in 2005. Can my ...

Revoking ILR

hi guys, I obtained by ILR last year by using the 10 years long residence route. Now I am thinking about applying for British citizenship but I have a small issue. I came to the UK in 2006 on student visa which I applied for in 2005. If the home office finds out that I lied on my student visa ...

Re: Criminal convictions for British Citizenship

Thanks for replying. Did you give details of your parking tickets? If so, what details on them did you provide? I've got speeding and parking tickets from around 2003-2004 but none since then so I really can't remember how many I have or the details of them. I do know that they have all been paid.

Criminal convictions for British Citizenship

Hi guys I am applying for my British Citizenship and I need some advice on how to fill out the criminal convictions section. I don't have any criminal convictions but I've had a caution which I've declared on previous applications. I also have been issued with maybe 3 or 4 speeding tickets in the ...

ILR and previously covered up US visa refusal

Hi guys, I am not in a similar situation but a bit worried it could happen to me. I recently applied for ILR based on 10 years long residence. I have been in the UK legally for 10 years. I originally came to the UK as a student on a student visa in 2006 and on the application form I filled in 2005 ...

Re: 10 years long residence ILR and US visa refusal

Thanks for your reply. But I am applying for ILR from within the UK so I can't find Q7.12 on the form. On the form it doesn't ask me if I've been refused a visa for any country so I'm a bit confused. So do the UK immigration authorities have access to USA database of visa applications? Or will they ...

10 years long residence ILR and US visa refusal

hi guys, I need a a bit of help. I've been in the UK for 10 years legally now, first as a student, then PSW, and now I'm on tier 2. I want to apply for my ILR however, I'm worried that I may be refused. I have been refused a US visa 3 times in the past due to violating the terms of my US student ...
