Re: Passport Application (First Time) - Proof of ILR

we have been asked for our son (who is 10 months) to submit the ILR BRP for both myself and wife or a home office letter to prove we had ILR when he was born. I'm not sure why given we couldn't become citizen without ILR. It is your ILR status that determines your son right/entitlement to ...

Re: Passport Application (First Time) - Proof of ILR

First of all, note that HMPO and UKVI, whilst part of the Home Office, work totally different process under different regulations. Personally my first concern would be to secure my child's British passport - the question of being fined is probably secondary. HMPO want to see the BRP or letter as ...

Re: Citizenship Application (Referee time limit?)

Thanks. I thought as much.

One more question, we are going to be moving on 24th July, is it ok to apply now with our current address and book biometrics (since it a month long wait), and then apply for a change of address after we have moved? or is it better to just wait until after we move?

Citizenship Application (Referee time limit?)

Hi All

I am applying for my wife's citizenship application and we got one of our referees to sign back in April. However second referee who is overseas will sign next week.

Is the first referee date of signature now too old >90days? should we get an updated signed form or it doesnt matter?

Re: Naturalization - Questions

I can see in my submission page that I have to: Attend an appointment to provide your documents and biometrics by 02 June 2023 So another option is to cancel my biometric for Friday and reschedule to end of May (hopefully we will have a new apartment by then). Could I then add the new address to my ...

Re: Naturalization - Questions

1. Is it ok if my referee signed 2 weeks prior to when i submitted my application i.e. on March 13th or does the form need to be signed after i submit? I was trying to get all my documents ready before submitting. My second referee will sign sometime next week. Yes fine. 2. For the proof of living ...

Register 3 Year old British Citizen

Struggling to complete this form. With respect to the Referee we don't have anyone that fits this bill since he didn't to nursery during the last two years and in his first year he was still to young. He doesn't start nursery until end of April 2022. Being in London the GP are a revolving door and ...

Re: ILR (Separate applications)

Thank I'm sorry, I think i got confused between a CoS being expired vs a Sponsor License expired. The threads I was looking at were about the sponsor licence being expired. So got myself utterly confused.

Thank you Zimba and Ywgy for your help.

Re: ILR (Separate applications)

Only the last 5 years. That is the period you are relying on for ILR. Before that is not relevant Thank Zimba I already submitted my application as I couldn't wait but I included all 6 years in the online form and kept my employer letter with 5 years. Hopefully this doesn't work against me? I have ...

Re: ILR (Separate applications)

I feel like I might go with my second option. i.e. a. keep my employer letter showing the past 5 years. b. show my full history since I entered the UK in the online form (i.e. 6 years); and c. On my cover letter mention that employer letter covers my 5 years qualifying period and if they require the ...
