Submitting online application from abroad?

hi All

I am now abroad for 2 weeks and would like to submit my online application from abroad and book an appointment for submitting documents and taking my biometrics whilst back in the UK. Is there a requirement to be in the country if I wish to submit my application?

Regards

Re: Absences related to business travel in the past 12 months

Thank you very much for your input jgreen6123 and all. Also, If I was to be rejected based on that fact would I lose the entire naturalisation fee or would the home office asked me to wait for x number of months and keep my applicaiton 'on hold' until I have met the requirement? So why would you ...

Re: Absences related to business travel in the past 12 months

Thank you for all your answers so far. Well, just becuase my job involves a lot of travelling does not mean it is well paid... I am not sure why you would assume that. Actually my company is based in the UK and I have got payslips and rental contracts to show that I actually have been living in the ...

Absences related to business travel in the past 12 months

hi All I have got a question related to the absence permitted in the 12 months before submitting the naturalisation application. I am a EU citizen with Permanent Residence living in the UK for the past 9 years. Due to the nature of my job over the past 12 months I have had 183 days worth of absence ...

Application with password due to expire?

Hi All I am about to apply for the BC with a password that will expire shortly (Feb/2019). I wish to send it to the post-office via European Passport Return service. My question is, when I get a response from Home office and by that time I will have acquired a different passport, would that ...

Re: is 10 Year Employment history really required on Form AN

Apologies for writing right under my last post as I the forum does not allow edits.

Also had no CSI in the period of:
2010-2011: UK university when I was at Uni. Would that be an issue?

Re: is 10 Year Employment history really required on Form AN

Thanks cyclina1 To add to the thread above about this period in question. 2009-2011: Part-time bar job with cash in hand, no NI contributions or income tax, cash in hand During this period I also have not had Comprehensive Sickness Insurance (CSI). However, my EEA Permanent residence permit was ...

Re: Response from the home office

Did you get approved in the end? I have got the same query. Sent my application for naturalisation but only mentioned 6 years. 5 years ILR + 1 year and not the odd part time jobs before. Do you reckon it would be an issue if there is a discrepancy between my ILR applilcation and naturalisation?

Re: Name on the passport and the use of other names

Thanks CR001. What about the rules and regulations that I have posted above. I am iterested whether I should go with the application claiming that this is a minor name change for the English equivalent. Lucas , Lukasz is similar to different spelling of Brian, Bryan etc. Also I have got evidence ...

Re: Name on the passport and the use of other names

Thanks Lily! First of all for the comprehensive and detailes response. It is of course very appreciated! The reason I am a bit worried and confused is because last week I wanted to take the Life in the UK test and I wrote my anglicised name but took my Polish ID card. Because the name was somehow ...

Name on the passport and the use of other names

hi All I have got a question about the use of names. My Polish name is Łukasz. However, since I have moved to the UK I have always used the English equivalent which is Lucas (it sounds and looks more natural). On my Passport and other documents my Polish name is given. Also I had no issue getting a ...

Re: EEA Permanent Residence, time spent before qualifying pe

In PR context, non-payment of tax (or NI) merely prompts further investigation to determine if the worker really was undertaking genuine and effective work. Sorry for being fixated on the time frame thing but I have to ask. In the PR do they also care about the non-payment of Tax or NI in the ...

Re: EEA Permanent Residence, time spent before qualifying pe

Understood there is no good character requirement for PR so it will not matter that much. The naturalisation is an internal Home office where they are not bound by the EU legislation as in the case of PR. Also it was a minimum paid part-time job and I do not reckon that I would have earned nearly ...

Re: EEA Permanent Residence, time spent before qualifying pe

Despite prevalence of CCTV UK is not a police state and not all your trips may have made it to 'Big Brother'. I must say I am a bit surprised by that statement as I thought that UKBA's core responsibillity was exactly that, to check people getting in/out of the country and if necessary share this ...

Re: EEA Permanent Residence, time spent before qualifying pe

Thanks again. I calculated that for the past 5 years of my full-time qualifying period I have been abroad for 56 days in total. Most of these 56 days were business trips to Germany,Italy and France. It will be very hard for me to dig out a few odd trips that I had prior to 2011 for the period [2009 ...

Re: EEA Permanent Residence, time spent before qualifying pe

Well, I heard that my freind's friend when applying for PR stated in the form that he works for a company that gives him 25 days annual leave. Therefore all absences from the UK during the qualifying period of past 5 years could not have exceeded 125 days. Apparently his applications was successful ...

Re: EEA Permanent Residence, time spent before qualifying pe

Another few questions. I have listed all the countries I have visited over the past 5 years that I have visited personally (not work related).
