401K to meet Spouse Visa Financial Requirements

Has anyone had experience with meeting the Spousal Visa financial saving requirements using a 401k/IRA account?

Not sure if money is in a US account is acceptable and if in a 401k/IRA whether would need to be liquidated to cash.

Thanks,

David

Re: Spouse Visa Requirements

Many thanks for the reply.

Is looks like if we meet the savings requirement we will not need to provide earning details either in the US or the UK.

Do you know if the savings needs to be held in a UK bank or building society?

Re: Right to Abode

Both parents were born in London (1928, 1930) and were married when I was born. But I was born in Canada 1956. Does that qualify me as a British Citizen? If this is case does that mean that everyone with Right to Abode is also a British Citizen with ability to obtain a passport?

Right to Abode

Hi Everyone, I recently made an online application (visa4UK) to settle in the UK. Not knowing any better I applied with the application category Returning Resident as this had been stamped in a prior passport when I previously lived and worked in the UK. My application was refused. I realize now ...
