The following website will show everything you need. I don't think the table will copy over into the forum, but it says 96% of applications are being decided in 60 days.

It is the British spouse that has to inform HO as they are the sponsor for the OP on a spouse visa.
Thanks CR001. The wording in the first part had led me to understand otherwise.

Re: Spouse Visa, Do I need to mention my second job?

I'm quite worried if this would create an issue if I don't mention about it when they look up in the HMRC system and find that I've got 2 jobs but I've mentioned only 1. I understand your worry, but as far as the UKVI is concerned, they just want to see that you've made the financial requirement ...

Re: Third party spouse visa financial support

You should review the detailed guidance under https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/proof-income 3.3.2. Promises of support from a third party cannot generally be counted towards the financial requirement. The applicant and their partner must generally have the required resources under their own control ...

Re: Spouse Visa Help

Do you happen to own your home? Funds from sale count immediately, and don't need to be held for 6 months.

You should read through Appendix FM 1.7: Financial Requirement at 7.4.10. That's where that information begins. The whole document is useful, and goes into detail, with examples.

Re: How much money can you bring in to UK?

You can bring as much as you like. It just needs to be declared. There is no limit, but anything over £10,000 would need to be declared. Bank statements, for example, would be helpful to show where the money originated from. If the money is not declared, it can be seized. Declaration highly ...

Re: Spouse Visa Help

We get a pension here, in which each month a set amount of our income is put into an account at the pension fund. Is this what is meant by state pension? If that is the case, then I am assuming I can just use whatever is in our pension to add to what is missing from the income. A pension would be ...

Re: Spouse Visa Help

You'll need to have a job in the UK making at least £18,600. Without, your application will be rejected. If you find a job under the minimum, the difference can be made up with savings. But I am not sure of the calculation. It's been posted around the forum a bit. Your spouse's income will not be ...

Re: UK Spouse Visa MIR - I work for my Dad, will this be oka

As long as you can prove your salary, you will be fine. It's not uncommon for people to work in family businesses. Were you working in the US, at a salary equivalent to, or above the 18,600? If so, you may already be eligible to sponsor your husband.
