Rockhall, the delay is inexplicable. I have already started the communications with them to push or pull out of the process. I have been asked for the time till end of this week to get an application reference number. If I dont get i will have to take some legal action. No choice. Yes my researches ...

Thanks buddy. The 50k is a security deposit, not a charge. They dont charge for the job. It's just something that keeps the prospective employee bound to the company while they are processing things. My contract letter clearly states that this deposit is paid back in 30 days when the candidate joins ...

Dear Friend, Thanks for the depth of thought for this and the links. The company looks genuine on the outset and they have 4 offices in India, 1 in Singapore, 1 in UK and 4 in US. With the size it is unlikely that it can get into any scam (Atleast i hope and wish so). Moreover, my research says that ...

WorkPermitIssues, the UKBA probably will not tell you. It is not your application, it is the employer's. You will have to chase it up with your prospective employer, or start looking for another job. You could tell them you want proof, which may not go down well. Is there a reason they are being ...

Re: Urgent Need Advice: Got another offer

Please no moral advice like what is right/wrong etc. Don't be so selective while seeking advice. And btw you need it urgently, too. There is nothing wrong with being selective as the candidate is seeking advice on the situation and not the personality. Many people get into the moral mode which is ...

The bottomline is "You cannot send your passport to anyone except your own govt authorities". If that costs you your job you should be prepared for it. It sounds a bit bitter and harsh but i would do the same. Let them figure out the ways to get you in the country. The other way to look at this is ...

Exactly. I agree with AshishAshah. Thats the approach to be followed.

Infact you can even be straight forward with them. If they start asking you about company details and all, tell them, " You are wasting your time mate, that ain'nt gonna come out of me. "
