Re: UKM application experience and timeline

I think you are sort of in the same boat as my wife jk. The most consistent timelines seem to be for US citizens applying from the US, where the process appears to be very streamlined. I have also been comparing to these most recent experiences, but unfortunately it just does not match up, in our ...

Re: UKM application experience and timeline

Waiting on ceremony invite is painful! This does come as an email, correct? Or did it come in the actual mail? In my experience I heard nothing since my biometrics was done, then all of a sudden months later I got a ceremony invitation from my local Consulate General. I did not get an approval ...

I find your response offensive and insulting. I am merely stimulating debate on the subject. No need to get personal.

Re: Rights of EU children vs children born outside UK to British parents by decent.

An interesting aside is the developments between the CANZUK countries happening at the moment that will reshape the landscape between the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Things like free movement of citizens of these countries, trade, defence and more. https://www.canzukinternational.com ...

One can always hope for a more equitable and just system with regards to what I mentioned.

Rights of EU children vs children born outside UK to British parents by decent.

I have decided to start a separate thread rather than continue from my previous one regarding the MN1 child application here: https s://www.immigrationboards.com/immigration-for-family-members/what-types-of-visas-are-required-for-daughter-and-wife-t268882.html#p1761729 This is to get the general ...

Re: What types of Visas are required for daughter and wife?

Following on from this thread and in a similar vein to another thread about the same subject... I'm of the opinion that the rules regarding citizenship for children born outside the UK to British citizens by decent seems a bit unfair. Particularly the MN1 3 (5) application. In other words it seems ...

Re: Children of British by decent parents

I am in the same predicament. I recently got my British citizenship (UKM). It's a bit complicated for me though. My wife died (child's mother) in 2009. We were married at the time when she died. She was also a British citizen by decent through her father. The problem I have is that there is ...

Re: UKM application experience and timeline

I received my ceremony invitation email from my local Consulate General on the 14th November. Basically a month before my ceremony. Oh, that's pretty good. Were you offered options to pick a ceremony date, or did they start off making a default choice for you, with the opportunity to reschedule if ...

Please don't tag into other members topics. I have split your post to its own topic. She would need indefinite leave to remain (ILR) which she can apply for after 5 years residence in the UK on an unmarried partner visa. For citizenship based on 3 years and to avoid waiting 12 months on ilr, she ...

Re: UKM application experience and timeline

How and who do you contact to get a tracking number for your return documents? Try NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gov.uk . My case worker sent me the Royal Mail tracking number with the approval email. Maybe send an email to the above and ask them how they sent your documents back. I sent an ...
